As part of its annual work plan, the Office of Internal
Audit conducted an audit of food safety and quality as a
corporate risk to WFP. It focused on the period from 1
January 2018 to 30 June 2019. The audit team conducted the
fieldwork from 29 July to 26 August 2019 at WFP
headquarters, which included interviews with relevant
stakeholders from a variety of WFP locations. The audit
was conducted in conformance with the International
Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal
Auditing.
