
This Bulletin provides an overview of the climate
situation and impacts on agriculture and food security
from October to December 2022 as well as the climate
outlook from February to April 2023. The bulletin was
jointly prepared by Government partners and WFP (in
English and Bahasa Indonesia).
From October to December 2022, rainfall across Indonesia was higher than the thirty-year long-term average. The La Niña phenomenon is predicted to continue until it reaches its neutral phase in mid-2023. Increased rainfall is expected in the northern part of Sumatera and Kalimantan, while below normal rainfall is predicted in the southern part of Sumatera, western part of Kalimantan, and northern part of Papua.
